Thailand  flag-th

Thailand lies centrally on the Mekong River with Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam. Due to its strategic location, the nation has become an exciting hub of local and regional mission work with diverse ministries. The country is known as the “Land of the Free” or the “Land of Smiles” but those same descriptors do not apply to its spiritual landscape.

Although Buddhism is the national religion in Thailand, there is clearly a mixture of Hinduism as well as Animism believes among the Thai Buddhists. Christianity has come to Thailand for almost 200 years and the Gospel has been preached since but only 1.3% of Thai people are Christians and the majority are Buddhists. Therefore, Thailand is considered as one of the least-reached areas in the world.

We believe God calls us to live vibrantly in this country and to mobilize Thai Jesus followers and churches to do so in order to see vibrant communities of Jesus followers among the least reached.

OM Thailand is committed to sending missionaries to the least-reached people groups and throughout the world. We are privileged to have legal NGO status under the Thai government and the committed support from three, major denominations

What we do

Special Education Children Ministry

nnn We partner with Piboon Prachasan School and also founded 'Amazing Love House'  to help handicapped children who graduated from middle or high school whose parents could not afford their further studies to develop vocational skills that suit each of them. This way we hope to share our faith through the relationship we build with students, their families, and the teachers.

Campus Ministry

A weekly small fellowship with exchange students (1 or 2 semesters) or international students (4 years) who come to study and live in Bangkok.  This fellowship is a casual platform for us to build friendships with the students through different activities such as playing board games, have a meal together, exchange culture by cooking and share, chatting time over interesting topics, etc. Currently, all students are Muslim from Indonesia.

Our foreign missionaries use their skills to teach languages for local Thai in the community in order to connect with them. Personal friendship is built through the class and time they hang out with students.

This centre is a platform to connect and engage with the community by providing development programs as OM Thailand is registered as a non-religious foundation with the main purpose to help develop communities. Therefore, there will be language learning skills, vocational skills provided to people in the community who are interested. (All the skill sets are depending on missionaries we have at the centre)

Alongside many churches in Bangkok, OM Thailand joins in to serve around 400 homeless people at the Hualumphong train station, Bangkok. In the ministry, we provide food and clean drinking water for their bodies as well as the Gospel for their spirits.

We partner with ministers and churches from different least-reached areas in Thailand who hold the same vision to plant vibrant communities among the least reached in their area.  We recruit missionaries to serve and reach out to the communities alongside the churches. We also send short term mission teams to do outreaches, allowing them to experience the local culture, lifestyle, beliefs, to demonstrate the love of Christ through the way they serve and engage with the community.

We visit Thai churches and mobilize them to see the importance of Jesus’s Calling to “GO” and “Make disciple of all nations”. We also present various mission opportunities where Thai Christian can step out in faith and share Gospel.

We connect Thai Christians with international mission opportunities that are available throughout a year both short and long term. This is to create a training field where Thai missionaries? can have a proper understanding of mission and be a blessing wherever God calls him/her to serve.
