OM Brazil receives new team members

For OM Brazil, the year started with 10 great reasons to be encouraged and motivated. The team celebrated the arrival of 10 new workers to integrate into different departments and local ministries. According to Field Leader Vitor Christovam, the new workers are an answer to the team’s prayers.

“We´re very pleased and full of expectations for this new season at OM Brazil,” he said.

Some of the new workers have worked with OM in other parts of the world, while others are starting their missionary journey, but one thing they have in common is the desire to work hard and to see the seed of the Gospel planted.

“I am very glad and excited to be here, with so many expectations,” said Emanuel Mafra, who graduated last year from OM Brazil’s missionary training. “I hope to serve God and people with my hands and heart, and to honour God with my life in Brazil.”

The OM Brazil team now has 30 workers and four volunteers serving in different areas, such ministry to those living in poverty, medical ministry, evangelism, short-term outreaches, missions training, Freedom Climb, Dalit Freedom Network, AIDS ministry, OM SportsLink and OM Arts. They have special plans for 2015, and with more people involved, the courage and desire to serve God and mobilise the Brazilian church for mission have been renewed.

Praise God for sending new workers to OM Brazil. For information about how you can get involved in the work of OM Brazil, contact your local OM office.
