The main goal through their painting was to represent the whole and perfect creation of God: the universe, the sea, the land, the humans and the animals. With these elements, they wanted to enable the children to dream in the Project Rescue house— a secure and peaceful place for them. For example they painted a fish jumping out of the sea to reach the universe, representing that with God nothing is impossible, no matter the situation.
Besides painting, the artists spent time with the children and their families. They visited some of the children’s houses and spoke with them and prayed for them. Afterward, the artists shared that they were deeply impacted by visiting the homes of the children and their families.
For the OM Guatemala team, the time with the OM Arts group was encouraging, full of conversations, sharing and prayer. In times of fellowship, the artists and the OM Guatemala team members shared their testimonies and encouraged one another to follow God’s great plan for their lives.
In January the children will see the newly painted house for the first time after its reopening.
Please pray that the work of the artists continues to impact the lives of children in Guatemala.
